Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television personality in the United States as well as an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares an easy and straightforward cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. The chef Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has explored Italy's cuisine and the culture of Italy, along with the natural geography. As a child in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell found a passion for food and cooking from a young age. She pursued her love of food and restaurant by enroling in The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The student says "I enjoyed being a Culinary Institute of America student. I loved every minute of it." I couldn't learn enough couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduation, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as well as Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, an Michelin-starred restaurant. When she was in Italy she gained an appreciation and appreciation for Italian food. It made a huge impact on how she views food. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens children who are facing obstacles and is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she is an advocate for children with diabetes and awareness. Burrell speaks on her culinary passion and shares her expertise in the culinary world, as she regularly is in the United States for both her roles as mentors and speakers. Anne has stated throughout her culinary career she's grateful to have the opportunity to share with others what is truly important to her.
